Federal Minister for Aged Care Ken Wyatt MP has announced the formation of an Aged Care taskforce to focus on Safety and Quality for workers.
This is an important development and recognises the central issue that Emprevo seeks to solve: the development and management of the increasingly casual workforce in the Aged Care industry.
Minister Wyatt spoke about the looming crisis for the Aged Care workforce.
Efforts will be aimed at connecting with all areas of the ecosystem for ageing Australians to help solve this issue. “The Taskforce will reach out to senior Australians and their families, consumer organisations, informal carers, aged care workers and volunteers”, said the Minister.
One of the first companies to adopt Emprevo will be well represented. BlueCross CEO Alan Lilly is a key member of the Taskforce and is well placed to provide input, having been a leader in Australia’s healthcare environment for many years.
